  • Components and Accessories

Most Hokus components and Hokus-branded accessories carry a 2-year warranty. This includes motors, drivetrain components, and other electrical or mechanical parts.

    Consumables are not covered
under this warranty. Consumables include (but are not limited to):

    • Tyres and tubes
    • Brake pads and cables
    • Bearings, spokes, and belt
    • Sprockets, saddle coverings, and handlebar grips.
  • Battery Warranty & Capacity

Batteries are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 2 years.

    Hokus
specifically guarantees that your battery will maintain at least 65% of its original rated capacity for the duration of this 2-year period. Please follow our recommended charging and maintenance practices to ensure longevity. Degradation beyond this 65% threshold within the warranty period is considered a defect; however, normal wear and tear or deep-discharge damage due to improper storage is not covered.

  • Environmental Conditions

Damage caused by environmental factors such as moisture, salt air, humidity, rust, UV exposure, or corrosion is not covered under this warranty.

As we are based in the Illawarra, we recognize the impact of coastal conditions. Customers in coastal or high-humidity areas must perform additional maintenance to protect components from salt-related corrosion to ensure the life of their bike.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from accidents, misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.
  • Improper assembly or failure to follow Hokus instructions.
  • Modifications or installation of non-standard components by anyone other than a Hokus-authorized mechanic.
  • Commercial or rental use (e.g., food delivery).
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Shipping or labour costs associated with warranty claims.
  • Damage resulting from exceeding the bike’s weight limit.
  • Any reimbursement for labour/parts without prior written approval from Hokus.

The warranty applies only to the original owner and is non-transferable.

Weight Limits

Hokus bikes are designed with maximum system weight limits (rider + cargo) typically ranging between 100 kg and 115 kg. Exceeding these limits may void the warranty.
